I finally found a job to kill some time off this holiday! It's a 1-month temp assignment at Standard Chartered and I tell you, it's FYP days all over again. I'm with the private banking market sales department doing some very data intensive job which requires me to juggle between excel and bloomberg. Maybe I should consider a career with bloomberg too to improve their database interface. I started work on Wed and the job scope aside, the people there are all really nice. My colleagues treated me to lunch on the first day and my boss bought me a sandwich yesterday since I refused to step out for lunch (was rushing the assignment I had to finish by yesterday but I still couldn't haha). According to my boss, he shortlisted me for the job cuz I was once a Math Olympiad participant back in ctss. OMG! That was like 10,000 years ago. My math is pretty shitty now.

My eyes got all crossed and bananas looking at the computer screens (2 of them) for 8 hours for the past 3 days. I wonder how those people in the trading and dealing room do that for years, and most of them actually use 3 monitors at a time. Not to say I'm prolly the earliest person to leave the 6 Battery Road building, because all of them just continue to slog till the late hours. Why am I getting the jitters and apprehension of entering the banking industry after I graduate? Maybe my destiny lies in, say, the entertainment industry :D
